I begin with the name of Allah the most merciful and the most kind, peace and blessing be upon beloved Prophet (S.A.W) All praise is for Allah.

We praise him and seek his help and his forgiveness and we believe in Him and rely on Him. We seek refuge with Allah from the evil of ourselves and the vices of our deeds. There is no one to misguide whom Allah guides and there is no one to guide whom Allah lets go astray ( refuses to follow the divine guidance ). I bear witness that there is not God but Allah alone. He ( the most high ) has no partner. I bear witness that our authority, our prophet and our master ( beloved ) Muhammad are His servant and His messenger. May Allah have mercy on Him ( SAW ), His household and His companions and bless them in great abundance.

As Islam teaches us to be kind and dutiful to our parents it also commands the Muslim parents to pay great attention in the up bringing of their children.

HONOUR OF CHILDREN

Allah has taught us that every child is respectable being as mentioned in the Quran:

"verily we have honoured the children of Adam" (XV11:70)

Every child is born pure and sinless in Islam. Due to his sinless ness Allah says: "Assuredly we have created man in the goodliest constitution. Each individually pure and perfect". (Sura Atteen v-4)

Child in Islam is classed innocent up to the age of BULUGHAH (discretion).

DON'T CAUSE THE LOSS OF MUSLIM GENERATION

Your children are a great gift from Allah to you. Therefore treat them with love and care: Allah said: "Lost are those who have killed their children, from without knowledge and forbidden( to themselves) that which Allah bestowed upon them as (gift) inventing a lie against Allah. They have gone astray and needed no guidance." (6 - 40 Al-Quran).

Before Islam, infanticide was practiced by different nations of the world including the pagan Arabs, the Hindus, The Greeks and the Romans. (see Encyclopaedia of religion and Encyclopaedia of Britannica).

Islam strongly condemned it and forbade it totally as mentioned in the Quran: "Kill not your children for the fear of want. We shall provide sustenance for them as well as for you. Verily killing of them is a great sin." (Sura Al-Isra verse 31).

In many religious cultures female children of Adam were further deprived of their status. In Islam there is no distinction between male and female children. Both male human being and female human being (Adam and Hawa [Eve]) were created in the heaven. They both were equally forgiven for their fault and both are declared the common parents of all mankind. Birth of girls used to darken the faces of infidels as Allah said in the Quran: "When news is brought to them of the birth of female child his face darkens and he is filled with inward grief: with shame does he hide himself from his people because of the bad news he has had. Shall he retain it on contempt, or bury it in the dust Ah! What an evil(choice) they decide on" ( 16 - 58,59).

In the light of this verse we see that there are still some people (ignorant of divine teachings) who are filled with grief with birth of their daughters. Instead of showing joy and happiness on the birth of their daughters, their faces show inward grief. They do not celebrate the birth of their daughters as they do with the birth of their sons.

The hearts of such people are still darkened with qualities of pagan Arabs. Such Muslims must study the life of the greatest and the best of the creation Sayyidina Rasulullah (SallAllahu Alaihi Wassallam) who used to kiss the forhead of his daughter Fatima and declared that Fatima is part of Him one who caused her to be angry he caused him to be angry (see Sahih Al-Bukhari , Kitabul manaqab). Prophet of Allah (SallAllahu Alaihi Wassallam) made Aqiqa (thanks giving fiest) for celebration of the birth of both girls and boys, His(SallAllahu Alaihi Wassallam) Sunnah is practiced by righteous Muslims. PRAYERS FOR OUR CHILDREN A Muslim keeps on praying for himself and for his offspring during all prayer by saying: "O Allah make me and my offspring who establish Salah"

KILLING CHILDREN IN AFGHANISTAN

The war in Afghanistan is causing the killing of innocent children day and night by the most advanced countries USA and Britain. The present economic system kills the children in all poorest countries.

The UK CHARITY CHRISTIAN AID has issued a warning that children in the poorest countries are dying as a result of conditions being attached to debt relief. AFRICA STRUGGLE 130000 children die every week in Africa.
