GREAT GIFT - FOR MUSLIM CHILDREN KHUTBAH ON EID-UL-ADHA

I begin with the name of Allah the most merciful and the most kind, peace and blessing be upon beloved Prophet (S.A.W) All praise is for Allah. We praise him and seek his help and his forgiveness and we believe in Him and rely on Him. We seek refuge with Allah from the evil of ourselves and the vices of our deeds. There is no one to misguide whom Allah guides and there is no one to guide whom Allah lets go astray (refuses to follow the divine guidance). I bear witness that there is not God but Allah alone. He (the most high) has no partner. I bear witness that our authority, our prophet and our master (beloved) Muhammad is His servant and His messenger. May Allah have mercy on Him (S.A.W), His household and His companions and bless them in great abundance. My dear brothers and sisters, Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah, Eid Mubarak. May Allah (S.W.T) shower the blessing of peace and mercy upon all of you. Today is the day of Eid-ul-Adha, which is the day to mark the importance of fatherhood, and son hood by remembering beloved Prophet Ibrahim and his son beloved Prophet Isma'eel may Allah (S.W.T) mercy and peace be upon both of them. Our children are great gift of Allah (S.W.T) for us, for which we must be practically thankful to Him (S.W.T). Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) peace be upon him taught us a dua (prayer) mentioned in the Holy Qur'an i.e. "O Allah (S.W.T) make me and my offspring (those who) establish salah, O our lord accept our prayer. (O Allah (S.W.T)) forgive me, my parent and all the believers on the day of accountability." Al-Qur'an Prophet Ibrahim (AS) was blessed with a great gift Isma'eel (AS) for whom he (AS) prayed and invoked Allah (S.W.T) for long time. Prophet Ibrahim (AS) education and training (Taleem and Tarbiyyia) was such that when his father mentioned the revelation about sacrificing to him, he said "Do that which you are commanded InshAllah (if Allah (S.W.T) wills you (Ibrahim (AS)) will find me of As-Sabiroon (the patient)" Sayyidina Ibrahim (AS) became successful in fulfilling the commandment of Allah (S.W.T) became his whole family became practical involved and assisted him in the noble task. Great poet Allama Iqbal has said: "YEH Faizan-e-Nazar thah kih maktab kee karamat thii sikhayai kis nayh Isma'eel ko Aadab-e-farzandi" means: "Is it the blessings of Ibrahim's tarbiyya or the miracle of his company which has taught Isma'eel the Aadab (manners) to his father Ibrahim" Ibrahim (AS) was born and brought up in completely unIslamic society but he (AS) did not compromise with "kufr" (disbelief) and rather he stood very firm against them with strong faith. Allah says in the Holy Qur'an: "When he (AS) said to his father what is that you worship? Is it a falsehood ' Aaliha' for Gods other than Allah that you desire? Then what makes you think about the Lord of the Alamin(all that exists)? Then he (AS) cast a glance at the stars" And he said "verily I am sick He did this to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan test". So they turned form him (AS) and departed. Then he (AS) turned to their false Gods and said, "Will you not eat of the offering before you? What is the matter with you speaking not? Then he (AS) turned upon them, striking them with his right hand. Then they (the worshippers of idols) came towards Ibrahim (AS), hastening. He said "worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? While Allah (S.W.T) has created you and what you make!" They (enemies of Ibrahim) said: "build for him i.e. Ibrahim (AS) a building and trough him into the blazing fire!" so they potted a plot against Ibrahim (AS) but we made them the lowest" All these mentioned verses of the Holy Qur'an are clear proof for us, that Muslims (the people of true faith in Islam) can never handover themselves or their offspring to a system what they become deprived of their belief, spirit and real success of Dunya and Akhira. By the grace of Allah (S.W.T), Muslims in Britain have realised that the bright future of their generation lies in the true Islamic system of education, which guarantees both success of Dunya and the success of life after death. Many of the great Islamic Scholars of the past were eminent scientists, philosophers and pioneers in the field of effective teaching and learning. In Islam there is no distinction between various branches of knowledge. MUSLIM CHILDREN IN THE STATE SCHOOL State education system divides the secular from the religious. It does not respond adequately to the needs of Muslim children. These schools do not meet the Islamic spiritual, moral and cultural needs of Muslim community. The result in many state schools (specially of Muslim children) is very low due to various reasons. PRIVATE MUSLIM SCHOOLS There are about 100 Muslims schools in Britain, which have produced much better results in spite of fewer resources.
SUFFAH PRIMARY SCHOOL OF HOUNSLOW JAMIA MOSQUE Is one of these private schools. It was started in September 2001 and InshAllah in September 2002 year 2 and 3 classes will also started. Suffah has fully qualified, trained and well experienced teachers who are assuring the community of good quality and standard education without any division between Deen and Dunya, religious and secular education. In this school beside national curriculum Science, Maths, English, Social studies and special emphasis are given to children's manners (Addab). Your sons and daughter will be taught to respect their parents, family and humanity at large. Islamic studies include Seerah, Tajweed, Arabic, and Hifz (memorization of some surah's of Qur'an). WHAT MUST BE GIFTED TO YOUR CHILDREN BY YOU? The Holy Prophet (S.A.W) has said: "No father can give a better gift to his son (or daughter) that good manners". (At-Tirmidhi by Hazrat Ayyub-bin Mussa) SPENDING ON CHILDREN WELL BEING Ummm-e-Salma reported, "I asked O Messenger of Allah (saw) shall I have any reward for what I spend for the children OF Abu Salma? They are my children. The Holy Prophet (saw) replied, "Spend for them, for you shall have the reward of what you spend on them" SUFFAH SCHOOL ADMISSION INFORMATION · Full time school teaching national curriculum with Islamic studies · Established in September 2001 · Qualified primary school teachers with experience in teaching in state schools · Classes for year 1 and 2 starting September 2002 INSHALLAH · In order to avoid disappointment enrol your child now- enrolment forms and further details available from Professor Sulaymani and the Mosque office |
